Xu Xiyuan was born in Taipei City, Taiwan Province on October 6, 1976. She graduated from the Drama Department of Huagang Art School. She is an actor, singer, host, and writer from Taiwan, China. In 2001, Xu Xiyuan starred in the TV series "Meteor Garden". She became popular with the role of "Shancai" in the drama and was nominated for the Best Actress Award of the Taiwan TV Golden Bell Award for this drama.
